Trader Information – Discovery Market Falmouth
Welcome to Discovery Market at Events Square, Falmouth. Below is all the key information you need ahead of your trading day with us.
Market Location & Schedule

Location: Events Square, Falmouth

Market Days: Thursdays & Saturdays, April to September

Trading Hours: 10:00am – 4:00pm
-
Arrival Time: Between 7:30am and 9:30am
-
Vehicle Departure: All vehicles must be off-site by 9:30am
-
A market marshall will be on-site each morning to assist with setup and any questions.
Unloading & Loading
You are allowed to drive onto Events Square during setup and pack-down periods to unload and load next to your pitch.

Unloading: From 7:30am
-
Vehicles must be off-site by: 9:30am
-
Loading at the end of the day begins after: 4:00pm

Please unload your items and move your vehicle as promptly as possible to avoid congestion, and help fellow traders do the same.
Site Plans
A site plan will be emailed out the day before each market (typically by the end of the day).
It will clearly show your allocated pitch location.
What’s Provided

Gazebo – fully set up in advance
-
Side Wall – attached inside your gazebo with velcro (please take this down at the end of the day)

Tables:
-
3m x 3m pitch = 2 tables
-
4.5m x 3m pitch = 3 tables
-
Traders are responsible for keeping within their pitch space and maintaining a tidy, professional setup.
Pitch Fees

3m x 3m: £35 (no electricity) / £40 (with electricity)

4.5m x 3m: £45 (no electricity) / £50 (with electricity)
Parking
Free trader parking is available at the Maritime Museum Car Park, adjacent to Events Square.

Vehicle registrations must be submitted at least 48 hours before your first market date

Once submitted, your registration will remain valid for the full season (unless your vehicle changes – just let us know)

Insurance & Safety
All traders must provide:

Public Liability Insurance (minimum £2 million)

PAT-tested equipment (if using electricals)
Food & Drink Traders must also submit:

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate

Completed Risk Assessment

Registration with Cornwall Council EHO (or other relevant local authority)
All documentation must be received in advance of your trading date.
